Privacy Policy
Parapheonix ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Files you upload
Files you upload for processing are stored temporarily on our servers solely to perform the requested operation. All uploaded files and any generated outputs are automatically deleted within 1 hour of creation. We do not inspect, analyse, or retain the content of your files.
2. Account data
When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password. We use your email only to authenticate you and, if you opt in, to send product updates. We never sell your email to third parties.
3. Usage data
We collect minimal usage data to keep the service running: request logs (IP address, endpoint, timestamp, HTTP status code). These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes and are not linked to your account.
4. Personal identification information
You may use Parapheonix without creating an account. We do not record personal identification information unless you voluntarily provide it — for example, when registering an account or contacting us. You can always choose not to provide this information, though some features require an account to function.
If you do register, you are responsible for providing accurate information. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from false or incorrect details. Accounts found to have been created with false information may be suspended or permanently banned.
5. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies allow the site to remember information about your visit and are widely used to make websites work correctly, improve usability, and deliver advertising.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
APIToken |
Keeps you signed in across page loads and browser restarts. Contains an opaque session token — no personal data is stored in the cookie itself. | 30 days | First-party, HttpOnly |
TermsAccepted |
Records that you have accepted the Terms of Service. Used to avoid presenting the terms popup on every visit. | 1 year | First-party |
Advertising cookies
We display advertisements delivered by Google AdSense. Consent for these cookies is managed by Google Funding Choices, a Google-certified consent management platform — the message it shows on your first visit only activates these cookies if you accept; until then, Google's advertising infrastructure runs in a non-personalised, cookie-restricted mode via Google's Consent Mode. Funding Choices itself sets a first-party cookie to remember your choice. If you accept, Google may then use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites; these cookies are set by Google's advertising infrastructure and are subject to Google's own privacy policy. You can change your choice at any time by reopening the consent message, available via a link in the footer, or by clearing your cookies.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
DART / IDE |
Used by Google DoubleClick to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history across sites that use Google advertising. | Up to 13 months | Google (.doubleclick.net) |
__gads / __gpi |
Used by Google AdSense to track ad impressions and prevent the same ad from appearing too frequently (frequency capping). | Up to 13 months | Google (parapheonix.com) |
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on site, general traffic patterns). Like the advertising cookies above, these only activate if you accept the consent banner — until then, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless, consent-restricted mode via Google's Consent Mode and no analytics cookies are set.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Used by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors by assigning a randomly generated identifier. | 2 years | Google (parapheonix.com) |
_ga_<container-id> |
Used by Google Analytics to persist session state for this property. | 2 years | Google (parapheonix.com) |
How to manage or disable cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, delete all cookies, or be notified before a cookie is set. Note that disabling the APIToken session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
To opt out of Google personalised advertising specifically, visit Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. These opt-outs use their own cookies; clearing your browser cookies will reset the opt-out preference.
6. Advertising
We display advertisements on Parapheonix delivered by Google AdSense to help cover running costs. These advertising cookies only activate if you accept the consent banner shown on your first visit; by default, ad delivery runs through Google's Consent Mode in a non-personalised, cookie-restricted state. Once accepted, Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DART cookie) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to Parapheonix and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. Use of Parapheonix is not conditional on accepting advertising cookies.
7. Third parties
We use the following third-party services:
- Google AdSense — delivers ads and may set cookies to serve personalised advertising. See Google's advertising policies for details.
- Google Analytics — measures site traffic and usage. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services for details.
- Google Fonts — for loading typefaces. Google may log your IP when fonts are fetched.
Both Google AdSense and Google Analytics are consent-gated as described above — neither sets a cookie until you accept the banner. We do not use Meta Pixel or any other behavioural tracking platform.
8. Data security
All traffic is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. We do not store plaintext credentials.
9. Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Because uploaded files are auto-deleted within 1 hour, there is no persistent file data to erase.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time. When we do, the updated date at the top of this page will be revised and a notice will be posted on the site. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed of any changes. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
11. Acceptance
By using Parapheonix, you confirm that you have read and accept this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with its terms, please do not use our services.
